Sach Ke Sathi Seniors is a media literacy initiative addressing the burgeoning issue of misinformation and disinformation in India. The program is supported by Google News Initiative and MICA (Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad) is the academic partner. The campaign is committed to equipping senior citizens with the essential skills needed to protect themselves in an age of digital misinformation. Through a series of workshops and resources across 15 states and more than 50 cities in India, the program aims to empower senior citizens to critically analyze sources, differentiate between reliable and unreliable information, and make informed decisions about the content they engage with. Collaborating with community organizations and media literacy experts, the SKS Seniors program seeks to create a more informed and media-literate society while preserving the invaluable contributions of India's senior citizens.
